Inside the History of Early Rome

A story in a story! I made this for my son who leads a field school at an archaeological site near Rome each summer. This book contains passages about the ancient town of Gabii, so I decided to carve the niche beginning on this page. I modeled the vignette after a photo of an important discovery, using modeling clay. My first experience with clay, but I love trying new things.
